Clear River Racing – Team 2011

Clear River Racing is run as a project at the Karlstad University. The aim of this project is to let the students go through and understand all of the development steps commonly used in the industry, in this project by building a small race car from scratch.

This year, the team consists of about 40 students from the engineering and economy programmes on Karlstad university. Last year, the team reached 2nd place in the acceleration test at the Formula Student competition on Silverstone. Even greater success were achieved at Baltic Open where the team reached 1st place, also in an acceleration test. This year, the goal is to rank even higher by building a stronger and more light-weight car. A year of success lies ahead.

The team will compete in the Formula Student competition on Silverstone, in which a lot of different universities from around the globe take part. In this competition one compete in a number of different events where judges grade things such as sales presenting, cost motivations, performance testing and design.

Clear River Racing will also attend numerous exhibition shows during this year.
